The interactive PDF “Talking Mats. Key Information on a historical mikeka in Berlin” is dedicated to the mikeka collection in the Ethnologisches Museum, Berlin. In an effort to create transparency around the collections, this file compiles photographs of the twelve mikeka, audio recordings, and interpretations of the messages conveyed by the mats themselves as well as collection related information from the museum documentation system and archives. Developed as part of the project Talking Mats, this digital output serves as a tool for fostering further exchange on cultural heritage.
